The following opportunity is from our colleagues in the Career and College Transition Division:
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the public comment period is now open for the Career Technical Education (CTE) Model Curriculum Standards. These updated standards are designed to reflect current industry practices, support career readiness, and strengthen alignment with postsecondary and workforce expectations.
We invite educators, industry partners, and community stakeholders to review the draft standards and provide feedback. Your input is essential to ensuring that the standards are relevant, rigorous, and responsive to the needs of students and employers.
The public comment period will remain open through 5/29/2026. All comments and recommendations will be carefully reviewed and considered as part of the revision process.
To access the draft standards and submit feedback, please visit https://www.cde.ca.gov/ci/ct/sf/ctemcsupdate.asp.
Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to high-quality career technical education.

WestEd is conducting the study, which will inform recommendations to improve how the state develops and supports curriculum guidance for teachers and students.
